"Remember you will die"
An illustration for an exposition done in my city.
The theme was: Victorian era.
I wanted to participate with something more than just the typical dress or people posing around; but I didn't had good ideas, then I remembered those post-mortem photos, showing dead bodies, all dressed up and fancy, I always feel captivated (and disturbed) by them so I tried to show that part of the Victorian era, when photography was so expensive that people couldn't afford a picture of themselves or their loved one's.
And when those loved ones passed away, families would make everything to preserve their image and remembrance, even if it was a little too late for taking a picture.
